Privacy

FreeFromFinder has no accounts, no ads, and nothing to sell. The little data it touches exists to answer one question: which venues near you are safe for your dietary needs.

Location

If you grant location access, your coordinates are sent to our servers solely to list venues near you, then discarded. They are not stored against any identity, and there is no identity to store them against. You can always search a place by name instead, and you can clear a saved location at any time from the location picker (web) or Settings (app).

On your device

Your allergen selections, filters, and last-used location are kept in your browser's local storage or the app's on-device storage so they survive between visits. The app also caches venue data on the device so recently browsed venues work offline. None of this leaves your device except as described under Location.

What we log

Our servers keep standard operational telemetry: request logs, error reports, and anonymous navigation events (for example, "a guide page was viewed"), used only to keep the service healthy and understand which features matter. We do not build profiles, we do not use advertising or cross-site tracking, and we never sell or share data with third parties for their own purposes.

Third-party services

The site and app run on Microsoft Azure and sit behind Cloudflare, which process requests (including IP addresses) as infrastructure providers. Map imagery is loaded from Google Maps when you use the map, subject to Google's privacy policy. Venue photographs are credited to their sources on each venue page.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, the changes appear on this page. Questions are welcome via freefromfinder.com.
