Marked menu, shared, Allergen-marked menu and aware staff but shared fryer / prep. Cross-contamination risk acknowledged.

Black Water marks some items GF on its menu (e.g. 'GF nuggets', 'GF sub soy curls', 'GF Beyond patty', 'GF bun') and offers a gluten-free bun option. However, the fryer is not dedicated, the kitchen is shared with gluten-containing ingredients (wheat gluten in house patties and seitan), and the menu disclaimer states items 'may contain or come in contact with wheat'. Two coeliac reviewers on FindMeGlutenFree reported that staff lacked confidence in GF safety and one server said she 'would not be comfortable recommending anything safe' due to the amount of gluten in the kitchen. No dedicated GF kitchen or accreditation.
